What is TOEFL exam?

Types of IELTS exam

The IELTS Academic exam is intended for candidates who wish to study at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, or who wish to work in a professional sector that needs a high level of English language ability. The test is divided into four sections: hearing, reading, writing, and speaking, and it is graded on a scale of 1 (non-user) to 9 (expert) (expert user). The IELTS Academic test is more academic in nature than the IELTS General Training test, and it assesses the test taker’s ability to understand and apply language in an academic setting.

IELTS for UKVI

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) exam is a version of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam that is specifically designed for test takers who need to demonstrate their English language proficiency for immigration purposes in the United Kingdom or for the international Students. The UK government accepts the IELTS for UKVI exam as proof of English language proficiency for visa, settlement, and citizenship applications. In terms of content and score, it is identical to the normal IELTS exam, but it is delivered differently and the test results are submitted to the UK government.
